Please Note: I believe every wedding and every couple is different, and these Tips may work for some and not for others. These are just best practices in certain situations, and doesn't mean your wedding won't be great if you don't do it! Glean some ideas from this, and do what's best for you!
Where do we start?
When starting your wedding planning, what is the first thing you should do? Tell everyone you're engaged, of course! Now, let the planning begin! Start with finding a venue as this will confirm your wedding date. Then, your primary services will be Photography (get those engagement photos done!), Video, DJ/Band, Hair/Makeup, Flowers, Photo Booth, and Officiant. We can actually help you with all of these! View our website for more details.
Should we do a first look?
In case you don't know, a first look is when you and your fiance' set up a special reveal moment between the two of you, where you see each other for the first time. This is done before the ceremony, along with all the bridal party and formal photos. Then after the ceremony you only have family photos to do, and you can enjoy most of your cocktail hour! This is especially a good idea to do when the ceremony and reception are all done at the same location.
When is the best time of day for photos?
First of all, a good photographer can take advantage of any time of day. But, ideally the best times are an hour or two before sunset. If you're having a summer wedding, try to get outside after dinner to get a nice sunset photo! If you're wedding is in the winter, make sure you plan your ceremony and photos accordingly so that you're not stuck in the dark.
And the best advice I can give you is to HAVE FUN! No matter what the day brings, just remember why you're there, and have a great time!
